"Prickly" McCain

McCain got testy in a Time interview, didn't like answering questions it seems. Also wouldn't define the meaning of "honor", which is pours like cheap gravy over his campaign and every speech he makes. "Honor" is something, a word, the forms part of the foundation of his campaign. The word, not the meaning, because obviously there is nothing honorable about his campaign, and if there ever was any honor in John McCain, he sold it to the highest bidder a long time ago. Check out this exchange:
Interviewer: There's a theme that recurs in your books and your speeches, both about putting country first but also about honor. I wonder if you could define honor for us?

McCain: Read it in my books.

Interviewer: I've read your books.

McCain: No, I'm not going to define it.

Interviewer: But honor in politics?

McCain:I defined it in five books. Read my books.
That is McCain. Classic McCain. That's McCain when asked to answer a simple question, something that should have been easy for him. And this man wants to run a country and deal with foreign leaders??

Let's do a little thought experiment: Imagine it was an interview with Obama, and he was asked to define "hope", do you think he would refuse to define it and tell the interviewer to read his books? Hell no! Obama would define hope, he would tie it to the American Dream, he would tell you how we've lost it over the last 8 years, and how we can bring it back and triumph with it. Do you know why Obama could answer it? Because he actually understands it. It isn't just an empty word for him, he lives hope. McCain can't define "honor" because he doesn't understand honor, and he certainly doesn't live honor. This is not the character of a leader.

Read more about the interview, it is revealing.
