Debunking McCain's Lies, YouTube Style

I'm not sure how many average American voters will watch this video, but I think it is a great, and very important thing, they are doing here. I want to see this every single time McCain launches a new negative attack ad full of lies (which is every single one).

How long will it be until the vast majority of voters realize that John McCain lies pathologically, just like Bush, and ought to be scrutinized just as critically as Mr. "We don't torture/Iraq has WMDs" himself.

Oh, and incidentally, this is the kind of thing the media should be doing. If they were doing their jobs they would fact check these blatant lies and call bullshit on McCain's fallacious, childish, and extremely negative attacks.

Visit Obama's fact check site here. Bookmark it. Send it to everyone you know. Know the facts. Don't let the Republicans deceive us in yet another election, the stakes are far too high.

Update: MSNBC's First Read also highlights how McCain is lying about Obama on taxes:
[T]he ad makes some dubious claims (TPIP: A nice way of saying "lies"):

1) When it says that Obama voted "to raise taxes on people making just $42,000," that was on a non-binding budget resolution vote that didn't actually raise or lower taxes. From Factcheck.org: "The resolution does not contain a specific provision to raise tax rates, but rather assumes that most of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts expire as scheduled in 2011."

2) According to Obama's economic plan, he would raise taxes only on those making more than $250,000 per year, and would provide tax cuts to those making less than that. Factcheck.org: "Obama has stated repeatedly that his plan would increase taxes only for those making more than $250,000 per year."
Again, McCain knows perfectly well that he is lying about Obama's tax plan. Obama will not raise taxes on the lower and middle classes, and in fact he will lower taxes much more than McCain:
[A]ccording to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center's analysis of both candidates' proposed plans, Obama would cut taxes for those making in the range of $38,000 to $66,000 three to almost eight times more than McCain would.
You got that? McCain is a LIAR. On the up side, while the media is for the most part giving McCain a free pass on his blatant lies (as usual), it seems as though the Obama campaign is being more forceful in leaving the sugarcoating behind and calling McCain's false assertions what they are: lies. Here is a statement from Obama's campaign on this ad:
This ad is a lie, and it's part of the old, tired politics of a party in Washington that has run out of ideas and run out of steam. Even though a host of independent, nonpartisan organizations have said this attack isn't true, Senator McCain continues to lie about Senator Obama's plan to give 95% of all families a tax cut of $1,000, and not raise taxes for those making under $250,000 a single dime. The reason so many families are hurting today is because we've had eight years of failed Bush policies that Sen. McCain wants to continue for another four, and that's what Barack Obama will change as President.
I would like to see them continue to do this. They aren't "dubious claims" or "factual errors", they are LIES. This is a presidential candidate LYING to American voters to get their vote. It isn't right, Americans deserve better, and I hope the media starts doing their job in supplying voters with the correct information.
